A HOLY WEEK DEVO: CHRIST SPEAKS FROM THE CROSS
I believe that Jesus is referring to more than His present circumstance. Jesus has come to fulfill all the Scriptures that spoke of the Messiah. He is speaking of all the work He has accomplished during His Incarnation. During His Incarnation He has accomplished our salvation by His death and Resurrection. He accomplishes His redemptive work as He fulfilled all prophecy concerning Him, and all the while He has remained faithful to the will of the Father.
He has done what He came to earth to do. He came to provide for our redemption. He has washed us clean of all sin, and we are forgiven. He has restored our relationship to the Father. Through Him and His Righteousness, we may now stand as children of God. He has won for those who believe in Him eternal life.
He is the Faithful Son of the Father, and He is our Faithful Advocate. He is the Alpha and the Omega, who was, is and is to come.
This daily Equip Devotional has been provided by Rev. Marie Parma as we take time this Holy season in anticipation of the celebration of Resurrection Sunday.
